Berkeley Unified School District offers elementary, middle and high schools and is based in Berkeley, Calif. The elementary schools include Berkeley Arts Magnet, Cragmont, Emerson, Jefferson, John Muir, LeConte, Malcom X Magnet, Oxford, Rosa Parks Magnet, Thousand Oaks and Washington. The district offers Berkeley High School and middle schools that include Martin Luther King, Longfellow Magnet and Willard. A range of after school programs are also offered by Berkeley Unified School District, such as home work centers, tutorial sessions, story telling, gardening, cooking, performing arts, writing centers, college mentors, dance, jazz band, chess, photography, bicycle repair, nutrition education, computer instruction, theater and visual arts, field trips, music and seasonal sports.
