Founded in 1991, Musitek Corporation develops and publishes music scanning and notation software. Its two-year research effort led to the development and release of MIDISCAN for Windows, the world's first commercial music-scanning software. Musitek then focused on integrating its music-scanning technology with computer-based music scoring, engraving and MIDI sequencing. These efforts lead to the release of SmartScore for Windows and Macintosh.
