Cerritos Elementary School

Murdy Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school offers gifted and talented education programs for identified students in grades three through five. In addition, it provides special education services, including resource specialist programs, special day classes, language and speech lessons and adapted physical education to students with special identified needs. Murdy Elementary School features an arts prototype program that includes components of visual arts, theater and dance. It also offers a variety of after-school programs and enrichment activities, including chess, drama, magic, martial arts, pottery, dance, art, photography and knitting. Located in Garden Grove, Calif., Murdy Elementary School is a part of the Garden Grove Unified School District.

Valley Christian Middle School enrolls more than 250 students in grades seven and eight. Its academic curriculum includes math, fine arts, physical and technology education, English and science. The school s staff includes a librarian, administrative personnel, guidance counselor, psychologist and teachers. Valley Christian Middle School organizes several athletic activities that include football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, cross-country and softball. It also operates ceramics, band, choir and graphic arts clubs. In addition, the school provides exploratory classes in sports, artistic creations and calligraphy. Valley Christian Middle School operates a library and media center, as well as offers a variety of lunch menu options. Located in Cerritos, Calif., Valley Christian Middle School is a part of the Valley Christian School System, which operates elementary, middle and high schools.
