Commerce City Public Safety

The Division of Public Services, a part of the department of community development, maintains the health and safety of individuals in the city of Commerce, Calif. The division constructs and maintains bridges, sewers, surface streets, storm drains, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. Its services include lightning and signing of streets, water system improvement, graffiti eradication and tree pruning. It also provides street marking and sweeping and traffic commission liaison services. The division maintains the security of several city-owned and public facilities. The Division of Public Services is also responsible for supervising the collection of residential trash and for the repair of public buildings and water systems.
