Founded in 1976 by entrepreneur Lash Stevenson, Lash's Place continues as the quintessential neighborhood barber shop, albeit, one with an edge. _Lash opened his barber shop after cutting hair as a hobby for years. He attended Long Beach Barber School in the late '60s, but ended up in sales for a number of years until settling into a lifestyle that afforded more time with his young family.
