Water distribution or supply systems for irrigation
Sutter Extension Water District
Sutter Extension Water District (SEWD) is a water management entity established on April 10, 1950, primarily for the benefit of farmers in Sutter County. Initially formed to replace the Sutter-Butte Canal Company's distribution system, the district has expanded its service area to approximately 25,500 acres over the years.
The district is governed by a five-member board of directors, each elected for a four-year term by local landowners. SEWD's administrative functions are overseen by a general manager who serves as the principal administrative officer and secretary to the board. Generated from the website
