In private practice since 1985, I provide an intuitive blend of therapies that embrace a holistic perspective. My style is strengths based and collaborative, supporting a return to wellness which lies within. I offer solution oriented skills and techniques derived from CBT, Mindfulness and hypnosis for rapid symptom relief, as well as the depth somatic approaches of EMDR and sensorimotor psychotherapy for accessing the root causes of emotional distress. Somatic work allows for lasting relief from self limiting beliefs and emotional somatic symptoms while building internal strengths and coping strategies for life. It is especially effective for trauma, both relational and single incident, anxiety, depression, addictions and psychosomatic issues. Grief and loss, challenging life transitions, identity issues related to life purpose and goals, weight issues, creative blocks, near death experiences and spiritual development are resolved in a co created relationship unique to each client. I see couples for both marital and divorce issues and parenting and offer groups for mindfulness wellness practices and parenting. In addition, I work collaboratively with healthcare practitioners at the intersection of medicine and psychology, having developed an effective protocol for mindful preparation for surgery.
