John P. Nolan, President and CEO of Central Coating Company, founded the company in 1958. While attending Iowa State University and the University of Iowa, John worked summers painting farm buildings and eventually grain elevators. John P. Nolan Central Coating Company became known for its quality work and soon the company was sandblasting and painting large tank farms throughout the United States.
