Evolve Physical Therapy and Yoga

History

When I started Evolve, I rented a small room in someone else's yoga studio for my therapy practice. I was there for a few years my business grew, teaching several weekly yoga classes. I then opened up my own therapeutic yoga studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. We had a small therapeutic yoga studio with three treatment rooms, one for my office, one for massage therapy, and one for energy and intuitive healing. When moving to Encinitas, CA, I decided to go back to basics. I now have one treatment room and see patients 4 days a week. I work part-time and thoroughly enjoy spending the time I need with patients. I am no longer teaching weekly, but still teach monthly workshops and speciality classes. I also teach anatomy & therapy portions of several different Yoga teacher trainings.

Specialties

The goal of my healing sessions is to treat the whole person, including the root cause of the discomfort and integrate their physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic well being. The Physical Therapy side of my practice includes structural assessment, deep fascial release, joint mobilization, postural strengthening, neuromuscular reeducation and spine mobilization when necessary. I incorporate CranioSacral Therapy, which is a system that works directly on the central nervous system helping to relieve anxiety and trauma from the body. I treat under the paradigm that the body is always working toward healing, each persons system has an Inner Wisdom that knows what it needs to heal and the healing sessions involve following the signs of the clients body to facilitate healing.
