Ferrara Colonial Mortuary was founded by Leonard Ferrara in what was once rural east Orange, California in 1973. Mr. Ferrara purchased what was then known as the Mettler Funeral Home which had been in existence on Hewes Street in Orange since 1966. Mr. Ferrara continues to serve as the funeral home's senior funeral director today. Ferrara Mortuary is committed to serving the family's of Orange County in their times of need. Our fully licensed funeral directors have over 43 years of experience in providing quality service to the bereaved of Southern California. Leonard Ferrara Founder, CEO, President, Director, Embalmer. Mr. Ferrara founded Ferrara Colonial Mortuary in 1973 and has been a licensed practicing funeral director and embalmer since 1963. He received his embalming and funeral directing education from the California College of Mortuary Science, Los Angeles, Ca. Mr. Ferrara has been serving families from the same location in Orange for over 39 years. He has been very active in the community and has been a member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Elks, Son's of Italy, Orange County Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association served in 1974-1975 as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Orange Council #4922
