Freedom Middle School

Located in Bakersfield, Calif., Freedom Middle School s academic curriculum includes life skills, language arts, art and music, physical education, reading, writing, math, algebra, history, science and social studies. The school also organizes special classes in gifted and talented education. It has a staff of nearly 35 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals. Freedom Middle School is a part of the Rosedale Union Elementary School District, which has a total annual enrollment of over 5,250 students in nine schools. The school maintains a library media center that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of free reading options for its students. Freedom Middle School offers academic services to more than 650 students in grades seven and eight.
