History

Established in 2010. ACFW recently moved to a bigger, newer facility in September 2014 which includes 5800 square feet of free space that provides a changing room, 2 separate shower rooms, towel service, and 2 separate restrooms. Under new ownership as of November 2014 and specializing in strength AND conditioning. We offer CrossFit classes and a monthly weightlifting program for athletes of ALL levels.

Our mission is to forge a community built around the CrossFit methodology of fitness and nutrition. Here, you won't find big egos and attitudes, but instead you'll see that we're just a bunch of everyday people trying to live a healthy and fit lifestyle. When you're here, you'll be welcomed immediately our Fit-family. Come visit us! Here we strive to break you away from the current, flawed fitness model that we see so prevalent in the world today. You won't find big mirrors, fancy equipment, or juice bars once you enter our doors. At our facility we utilize only the tools necessary to build elite levels of fitness - barbells, kettle-bells, pull-up rigs, weightlifting platforms, determination, and sweat. So whether you're an elite athlete, a college student, or a stay-at-home mom-- our training program is custom designed to push you further than you have ever gone before. Functional Fitness. From shoveling snow to climbing stairs, people constantly carry out tasks that may seem mundane, but can lead to serious injury if the body can't handle the workload. Functional fitness targets groups of muscles throughout the body, conditioning them to work together so they can perform a range of simple tasks more easily and safely. Exercises commonly used in a functional-fitness regimen mimic such everyday movements: squatting to pick up a heavy object, lunging forward toward an out-of-reach ledge, balancing on an unstable chair, or reaching to put something away on a high shelf.
