History
Gioia Pizzeria first opened its doors in 2004 by Karen and Will Gioia in the gourmet ghetto of North Berkeley. It was created from Will's fond memories growing up in Brooklyn as a kid and grabbing a slice in his neighborhood. The pizzeria is local gem in the North Berkeley neighborhood serving seasonal pizzas by the slice and whole pie to the community. Gioia Pizzeria just opened its second slice shop in Hayes Valley in June, 2019.
