Glenda Pongiglione

History

I began working in the fashion industry in 1992, shortly after graduating from the FIDM San Francisco Campus. I initially started in production, but soon discovered I was not happy working in such a cut-throat industry. By chance, I interviewed and was hired for the tailoring position at Ann Taylor's flag ship Post Street store. Because of the restrictions placed on me by the company as to what I could and could not alter, I started doing work out of my home for clients that purchased things at other stores. As my client base grew, I began doing more and more work out of my home. After taking maternity leave in 2003 for the birth of my daughter, I continued my employment with Ann Taylor until the birth of my son in 2005. I then decided to work exclusively from home. Since my position at Ann Taylor was eliminated after my departure, I was able to take all of my clients with me. My business has grown mainly from recommendations those clients have given their friends and family.

Specialties

I am not a designer, but the things I create are only limited by my clients' imagination. I excel in construction and have a keen attention to detail. My specialty, however, is satisfaction. I will work on the project until I have met the expectations of the client.
