Kempton Street Elementary School offers academic instruction and enrichment programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school manages a parent-teacher association that organizes book fairs, carnivals and open houses. It also provides guidance counseling, food and health care services. Kempton Street Elementary School s campus includes a library and playground. The school publishes a newsletter, Kempton Communicator. In addition, it offers extended-day classes in reading, writing and math. The school operates a student council and student support groups. Kempton Street Elementary School is governed by the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District, which manages the La Mesa-Spring Valley Educational Foundation.
