Ventura County Public Works provides for citizens of Ventura County in California a variety of public works services, including planning, construction and maintenance of roads, water and sanitation systems and flood control structures. The agency also provides services such as public transit, solid waste management, recycling and water resource protection. It comprises a number of departments, including environmental and energy resources, transportation, engineering services, water resources and sanitation and water services. In addition to its primary departments, Ventura County Public Works also offers real estate services, a watershed protection district, geographic information and a groundwater management division for the Fox Canyon area.
