jane is a locally owned restaurant and is named after the Huston Family matriarch, "Jane". Born and raised on a farm in rural Indiana, Jane remembers looking out of her window and seeing the trains go by. She saw passengers enjoying themselves in the dining cars and became inspired and determined to travel. Phots of Jane adorn the restaurant and depict many of her adventures all over the world. Her love of family, friends and food drew our family into the hospitality business. Classically trained by French chefs and influenced by California's diverse food scene, Jane offers a combination of American bistro fare with European influences. This restauranteur is a tribute to her loving spirit, generous hospitality and the encouragement she gave us. Mark & Margaret

Our 19-year old attends UCSB, and this is one of our go-to restaurants. Located in an unattractive cluster of big stores, it is nice inside, food is good and service too.

Great customer service since you walk in, great hostess and our server was on it. We made reservations early on, recommend as it fills up. Great food and was a nice treat. Plenty of seating...
