La Rosa Elementary School serves more than 550 students and is located in Temple City, Calif. Its core curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school s reading programs focus on word analysis, fluency and systematic vocabulary development. Its math classes offer information on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers. The school has a site council that offers assistance with the planning, implementation and evaluation of campus programs. The school also offers special education services for children with speech and language disorders. Its instructional resource center includes a library and literacy laboratory. The school also maintains a parent-teacher organization that promotes the welfare of children and youth. La Rosa Elementary School employs more than 35 teachers.
