In Spanish "Cazuela" means earthenware cooking pot, stewpot or casserole. When the Original Las Casuelas opened in 1958, their marketing company misspelled the name as "Las Casuelas." Money was tight in those early days, so Florencio and Maria Delgado adopted this spelling as the name of their restaurant. It quickly became proprietary and synonymous with excellence and tradition. The recipient of numerous awards for food, service and architecture, Las Casuelas Terraza is a favorite of locals who consistently vote it Palm Springs' "Most Popular Restaurant." 700 pm, Monday, November 10, 2025 Hostess station very friendly. Here for the live band. They played covers, loved the music. Had to wait forever for busser to wipe down the table??? And then...

Friends suggested meeting here for "Dutch treat" dinner ... and dancing. Quite frankly, we enjoyed the music and dancing on the patio, but the drinks, food, and service left a lot to be desired....

Mario our mesero was excellent. Very attentive and pleasant. The Mar y Mariscos delicious. The carnitas very tender. There was enough carnitas to feed at least three people.
