Learn & Play Daycare & Preschool

History

Learn and Play is a child daycare which is programed for children ages 6 months to 4 years of age. We are English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking. A major goal as parents is to raise our children to become happy, independent adults. To become independent, children need to learn how to function in the world and get along with others. They should show concern for people who are hurt. Children learn these lessons through relationships with people who nurture them. By showing concern to a child, a parent or caregivers teaches the child how to care for others. Nurturing children means giving them plenty of love, support, concern, and opportunity for enrichment. These factors help meet children's emotional and social needs and help prepare them for the adult lives. Parents or caregivers are the child's first teacher, they can be positive role models because children are great imitators. They learn best by shown what to do, rather than just being told what to do.
