Perie J Longo, PhD MFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty years of experience, specializing in working with couples, individuals in transition, and families dealing with aging, bereavement, blended families, and mental illness. As a Registered Poetry Therapist, Perie utilizes literature to help clients access and express emotions that are difficult to articulate, aiming to empower them to find their voice and make positive changes for a more fulfilling life.

With a strong background in poetry therapy, Perie has facilitated writing groups for local Hospice, the Cancer Center, and Sanctuary Psychiatric Centers of Santa Barbara, providing a therapeutic outlet for those struggling with mental illness.
