The Lopez family continues the tradition the late Charlie Lopez started in 1967.... Veteran and Locally owned - thank you for shopping local! History: Lopez Ranch was founded by Eleuterio and Arcadia Lopez in 1935. The family became land owners and farmers in Northern and Southern California and had a very popular gourmet market and nursery on Jefferson Blvd, in Mar Vista. In 1967 Charlie , son of Mr. and Mrs. Lopez, decided to cultivate pumpkins on the Mar/Playa Vista property and the rest is history! Keeping it old school. We used to go here 30 plus years ago when it was on Jefferson. It definitely was nostalgic to see it pop up in the parking lot and to be able to take our daughter there....
