The Merced County Fair is a family event organized in July each year. It showcases a variety of items that includes scarecrows, wind chimes, window boxes, pedestal arrangements, decorated doors, confectionery, preserved foods, textiles, table settings and prints. The fair also displays a range of animals that includes swine, sheep, goats, rabbits, horses and dairy cattle. Additionally, it showcases children s projects in the areas of sewing, stitching, jewelry, woodworking, metalworking, rocketry and blacksmithing. The Merced County Fair also organizes various events that include musical shows, automobile auctions and motorbike racing, bull riding and cookery competitions. The Merced County Fair is held in Merced, Calif.
