Merryhill Elementary School

Smythe Academy of Arts and Science provides educational and art programs to students in prekindergarten through seventh grade. It emphasizes on arts and technology education and cultural awareness and enrolls more than 600 students. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, language arts, fine and performing arts. It organizes various extracurricular activities, such as arts, music, band and theater. It also offers student councils and encourages its students to participate in various sports activities, such as soccer. Additionally, it offers Standardized Testing and Reporting program for talented students. It addresses the physical, social and emotional development needs of its students. The academy also offers California Standards Test preparation programs. It has a library that provides curriculum books, audiovisual aids, computer workstations and access to the Internet. The academy provides counseling and student support services. Smythe Academy of Arts and Science is a part of the North Sacramento School District.
