HistoryStarted Spindrift Surfboards in Santa Barbara in 1968. Moved to the North Shore of Oahu Hawaii in 1970. Glass shop was at the base of the Waiamea tower. Glassed for Surfline Hawaii, Dick Brewer,Barry Kanaiaupuni, Lightning Bolt, Surf Country and Spindrift. Moved back to SB in 1974 and continued glassing for Al Merrick till present time. Glassed all of Tommy Curren and Sean thompsons' team boards during their world title years. Glassed Kellys' boards first part of his winning years. Did all CI team boards for many years.. Today we still glass for CI as well as for Bruce Fowler, Waulboards, Wayne Rich, Rennie Yater, Ryan Lovelace, Tim Boler/Shapes & Hulls, Wilderness/Bob Duncan and a bunch of other independent shapers.SpecialtiesGlassing surfboards for over 45 years. We are the original glasser for Channel Islands surfboards. We help all the local professional and back yard shapers make their shapes look good. Our great reputation is known world wide.
