Founded in 1924, Oakland Feather River Camp is a camping spot located in Quincy, Calif. The camp is operated by the Camps in Common, a small non-profit corporation formed in 2003 to support the City of Oakland in keeping the camp alive and vital for the urban Oakland community. It offers a wide range of amenities, such as rest rooms, lodging, meals, common space, camp store, horseback riding, laundry facilities, medical services and disability access. Camping isn't for me but my son LOVED IT! The staff here is amazing a bit of a drive but the ride up was breathtaking. If I was a camper I'd for sure go every year.
