Old Orchard Elementary School features enrichment activities, such as student clubs, tutorial sessions, cultural arts programs, academic competitions and field trips. The school s staff includes counselors, nurses, diagnosticians, speech and language clinicians, reading specialists and certified teachers. It has a certified library media specialist that directs the learning resource center, which houses supplemental multimedia materials and a variety of recreational and informational reading selections. The school s core curriculum includes reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, technology applications, health and physical education, art, music and communication skills. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Old Orchard Elementary School is a part of the Newhall School District.
