Located in Stockton, Calif. EMQ FamiliesFirst is an agency offering a range of community-based programs to children in crisis and their families. It offers mental health treatment, foster care and social services that help families recover from trauma, abuse and addiction. Established in 1867, it is one of the largest family-centered treatment program and provides services to over 18,000 children and their families annually throughout 30 counties in California. It offers a wide range of services, including residential, psychiatric, matrix and foster care and adoption, wherein children from birth to age 18 are placed in certified foster homes. EMQ FamiliesFirst also provides support services to foster children and families after a child is placed in a foster home.
