Founded in 1973, Coast Learning Systems is the production, marketing and distribution division of the Coastline Community College, which is one of the few educational institutions that designs, produces, offers, markets and distributes distance learning courseware throughout the world. Coast Learning Systems provides instruction and training through online and video-based courses, which can be delivered via DVD, broadcast television, satellite and cable. It has a business relationship with the British Broadcasting Corporation. It offers courses in anthropology, arts, music, business and finance, communications, computer science, foreign language, child development, science, mathematics and career development. Coast Learning Systems is located in Fountain Valley, Calif.
