Dr. Aronowitz's scope of practice encompasses most areas of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery with an emphasis on the use of the bodys natural adipose or fat tissues for regrowth and regeneration of body tissues damaged from surgery, radiation and age with less need for invasive muscle flap surgery and foreign implants.Dr. Aronowitz founded the University Stem Cell Center in 2009 to conduct IRB reviewed clinical adipose stem cell research not widely available yet for American patients. These highly publicized studies use the patients fat stores for breast enlargement and breast regrowth after breast cancer surgery and radiation treatment.Slow adoption of proven breast cancer surgery advances motivated Dr. Aronowitz to found the Breast Preservation Foundation (BPF), a non-profit 501c. The BPF works to promote innovative alternatives to disfiguring breast cancer surgery, such as nipple-sparing mastectomy. Dr. Aronowitz is recognized in numerous media appearances and print as an expert spokesperson on issues related to emerging cellular therapies, cosmetic and oncoplastic surgery.Dr. Aronowitz private practice is based at the highly ranked Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he served as for many years as Chief, Division Plastic Surgery, the Medical Executive Committee and other leadership roles. He is deeply committed to improving patient care through active involvement in lay advocacy groups and professional societies. He serves on Board of Directors of the American Society of Breast Disease, Faculty for the ASBD School of Oncoplastic Surgery, expert for the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance and is Assistant Clinical Professor at USC Keck School of Medicine. The doctor holds memberships in the leading professional societies, such as the ASPS, AAPS, and, Soc Bariatric PS, LASPS.On a personal note, Dr. Aronowitz recently celebrated over 30 years of marriage and is the proud parent of four very nice young people.
