Founded in 1905, the San Bernardino Police Department has more than 350 sworn officers and over 150 civilian support members. It offers a variety of law enforcement services to nearly 200,000 people and is located in San Bernardino, Calif. The department s uniformed and community service officers respond to approximately 1,000 services calls every day. The San Bernardino Police Department s investigations division is made up of narcotics, homicide, robbery and burglary prevention units. Its administrative services division solves personnel issues, documents criminal papers and hosts a variety of departmental training programs. The San Bernardino Police Department also operates several traffic safety programs and provides an online portal for citizens to report minor types of crimes.

Los Angeles Police Protective League

Established in 1922, the Los Angeles Police Protective League works to protect, promote and improve the working conditions, legal rights, compensation and benefits of Los Angeles police officers. It is affiliated with the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation, National Association of Police Organizations and California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations. The league s services include legal representation for members, contract negotiations, representation with grievances, arbitrations and unfair labor practices, and guard card and the firearm renewal processing.
