Established in 1883, San Mateo Public Library is a publicly owned library that is operated by the government of the city of San Mateo in California. The library maintains an inventory of books, catalogs, DVDs and CDs. It also offers a variety of information about churches, nonprofit organizations and social services agencies. San Mateo Public Library additionally offers a range of reference materials on science projects, demographics, bible and religious studies, art, business and periodical indexes. Its collection also includes a variety of English dictionaries, grammar books and readers. In addition, the library offers several fiction and nonfiction novels. San Mateo Public Library also conducts various programs and events for adults, children and adolescents.
