History

Shin MRI was established in 2003 by an energetic entrepreneur named Kyungja (Cindy) Shin and her husband, James Elkler, M.D. Cindy was an MRI tech at the time, and realized that Koreatown was in need of a high quality diagnostic imaging center. She started the business out of a trailer with a used MRI machine. Today, Shin Imaging Center - Los Angeles is located in a completely remodeled facility with a full line of the best equipment available in Los Angeles, including GE 3.0T MRI, Siemens 64 slice CT, digital mammogram, X-ray and ultrasound. In April 2017, Shin Imaging Center opened a brand new facility in Fullerton, CA, with a GE Pioneer 3T MRI. It's so new, we have the only one on the West Coast!
