History
The business was started after the senior teacher Steve completed his universities studies and service in The United States Coast Guard. Steve's life has been the ocean and been surfing for decades. He learned that many people he knew (e.g. neighbors and friends) would ask him to teach them how to surf. He taught his friends/neighbors and with their positive feedback of his lessons, Steve began his professional teaching gig, Surf Teacher.

As the lead surf instructor at South Bay Surf Sessions, I am truly stoked to teach others how to surf! There is nothing like surfing! It is an awesome time to meet new people at the ocean. Safety and Stoked-ness are our goals...Join us for the ride of your life... :)
