Owners Mark and Suzy White opened Tangaroa Fish Market & Raw Bar in west Culver City in June of 2015. Maori, the native people of New Zealand is a big part of Mark's cultural heritage, and Tangaroa represents the God of the Sea in the Maori culture. Mark spent the first half of his life growing up along the waters of New Zealand. "Mate if you grew up in New Zealand pretty much everyone has something to do with the ocean."
