History

Established in 1989 by John Watts, Tattoo Ink Spot keeps San Diego alive. John first started Tattooing in Columbus Georgia in the late 70s with Tattoo Tommy and Sailor Bill Killingsworth. John joined the navy and continued tattooing while serving his country. He eventually got stationed in San Diego and opened the Ink Spot while still in the Navy. Now after being in Buisness for over 20 years in San Diego, he no longer Tattoos but can often be found at one of the two shops working the counter or piercing. John is also retired from the Navy after 20 years of faithfull service. Feel free to come by and visit with John, he is a kick to hang out with, and talk about old times. Some shops come and some shops go, but the Ink Spot is a San Diego tradition since 1989, and we aint going no where.
