History
Cary Odes taught stand-up since 1990, when he taught young men in prison to do stand-up at Camp David Gonzales in Malibu. He taught stand-up at New Roads high school in 1997-8. He taught all workshops for Judy Carter's Comedy Workshop from 2004 to her retirement in 2011. With a loyal following and a great track record, Cary opened The Stand-Up Workshop in 2011.

I was heartbroken when I left LA because it meant I couldn't take Cary's class again. But when he offered them virtually I jumped right in. He's as good a teacher online as he is in person....
