History

I won a talent show in New Jersey just by talking about myself. I began doing standup comedy in Philly, moved to San Francisco in 1979, and was headlining around the country by 1985. I've appearred on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, America's Got Talent, Let's Make A Deal, America's Funniest People, HBO with Rodney Dangerfield, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and The New Gong Show. In 2005 I decided to take my laughter to the senior and convalescent community, and never looked back. I still do comedy clubs and events when needed.

Specialties

Comedian Perry Kurtz decided in 2005 to take his interactive and motivational comedy & music to the people that are not going to the clubs. Seniors, convalescents, and foster homes. He also decided to specialize in CLEAN Family type material so his shows are funny and entertaining for all ages. Each show is created on the spot about and WITH the audience members, their lives, and their successes. Perry uses their histories to motivate them to continue and NEVER give up. And it's all done with laughter. No 2 shows are alike, and everyone leaves invigorated, enthused, and happy. Each show ends with sing-a-longs and a song Perry makes up about whatever the audience is doing AS they do it, and gets them to sing along. Perry is also available to appear at or host any party, event, festival or club.
