Virgil S. Raymundo, MD

Dr. Partha S. Gonavaram is a board-certified UCI Health family practitioner with long experience treating patients with chronic diseases. His clinical focus includes diabetes, fatty liver disease, obesity, cirrhosis, renal failure, hepatitis B and C, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed his residency in family medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. Gonavaram, who is fluent in Hindi and Telugu. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys Western and Indian classical music, cricket and traveling.

Dr. Yesim Yilmaz Demirdag is a board-certified UCI Health allergist and immunologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of immunodeficiencies in children and adults, as well as asthma, food allergies and eczema in children. Her clinical interests include urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling), rhinitis, sinusitis, drug allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis and stinging insect allergies. Yilmaz Demirdag earned her medical degree at Akdeniz University School of Medicine in Antalya, Turkey. She completed residencies in pediatrics at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology. She also received fellowship training in clinical cytogenics at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. Her research interests include the genetics of primary immune deficiencies, immune deficiencies in chromosomal abnormalities, eczema and food allergies. Before joining UCI Health, she set up and directed the first pediatric and adult primary immune deficiency clinic at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City. Yilmaz Demirdag, who also speaks Turkish, has devoted herself to providing the best, evidence-based medical care to her patients.

Dr. Irene S. Tsai is a board-certified UCI Health radiologist who specializes in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Her clinical interests include breast MRI, high-risk breast screening and image-guided breast biopsy. She obtained her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in breast imaging. Tsai is the director of breast imaging at UCI Medical Center in Orange and UCI Health — Yorba Linda. She also serves as chief of breast imaging for the Department of Radiological Sciences.
