Walden School

Bijou Community School, a part of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District, offers educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides general academic programs in music, English, history, math, science, art, social studies, and health and physical education. In addition, Bijou Community School supports various after-school clubs and programs. The school provides multiple athletic activities that include basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, softball, football and volleyball. Bijou Community School is recognized by the California Department of Education. The school also organizes several teacher-led summer camps.
