Jae Y. Kim, M.D., is the chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery and an associate professor in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Kim specializes in esophageal cancer and lung cancer, robotic surgery, mesothelioma and thymoma.

Aaron Lewis, M.D., is a surgical oncologist at City of Hope's South Pasadena location. Dr. Lewis is a board-certified surgeon broadly trained across all aspects of surgical oncology with a particular interest in complex gastrointestinal surgery (such as colorectal and pancreatic cancer surgery) and endocrine surgery. He has training and certification in the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, an advanced robotic cancer surgery.
