We have a Code Stroke Team designed to respond to stroke as an emergency; we have carefully developed evidence-based protocols and orders for transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke that are consistently updated based on the most current stroke research; we use thrombolytic or 'clot-busting' agents if indicated; and utilize the most current interventional procedures, such as mechanical clot retrieval systems and coiling for aneurysms.
