The Almont Resort, a rustic retreat, rich in history set on 88 acres in beautiful Gunnison County, occupies an 1890’s lodge with guest cabins that have been thoughtfully renovated. The East and Taylor Rivers meet outside our cabin doors to form the headwaters of the mighty Gunnison River making this a fisherman’s dream location. We offer lodging and event space to accommodate couples, families, corporate retreats and larger events. Activities that start here on our 90 acre property include fishing, horseback riding, rafting and wildlife viewing. Other things to do are very close by: downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowmobiling and ice fishing just to name a few.
