In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Cute place with bear decor. They had some bear items for purchase. Bonus s they were open Thanksgiving morning. The servings are huge! I had a large stack of pumpkin pancakes which were delicious....

Food was good, it wasn't missing anything. Heavy portions. Service was attentive and ok. Ambiance gives classic American diner. Clean & Aesthetic cabin homey vibes.
