Established actually prior to 1980, Leadville bookmine moved up the block in 2005, taking over two separate retail spaces which were respectively, jewelry and women's clothing.
Specialties
Bookmine bookstore is a work in progress. History focus is on Leadville, Colorado, and mining; along with other topics, e.g., military, Russian, and Chinese. Nature focus includes Colorado flora and fauna, Colorado fourteeners, and worldwide mountaineering. Children and Young Adult books, Christian, Classics, science fiction, vintage poetry and collectable Arkham House books all await your reading pleasure.

The owner really is awful, you'll see other reviews about him. It's a very depressing environment. The inventory is weak at best anyhow. Amazon is all you need if the customer service experience...

Cool little book store in downtown Leadville. Very nice proprietor, and he has a couple of dogs that make you feel at home. I loved the creaky old wooden floorboards. Made you feel like you were...
