Douglas County Justice Center

The Douglas County Sheriff s Office Investigation Division investigates criminal complaints and prepares cases referred to the district attorney for prosecution. It responds to requests by the public, district attorney, and patrol and detentions divisions. The division identifies, apprehends and assists in the prosecution of criminals. The Douglas County Sheriff s Office Investigation Division has a general investigations section that is comprised of various units, including special victims and person and property crimes. Its special investigation section offers concealed weapons permits, sex offender registration, liquor licensing and homeland security services. The division also investigates gang-related crime, auto theft and multijurisdictional crime. The Douglas County Sheriff s Office Investigation Division, located in Castle Rock, Colo., provides intelligence systems and databases.
