Friends' School offers an independent, secular, coeducational program for children in preschool through grade 6 and a teacher preparation program for teachers with a Bachelor's degree. This is a place where students are challenged to reach their full potential through academic excellence, creative expression, and social responsibility. We have small, collaborative classrooms, exceptional teachers, and a connected parent community. Here, preschool is play and exploration-based. Elementary school emphasizes an experiential and integrated curriculum. Middle school continues our focus on integrated curriculum and social emotion learning and it tailors those experiences to the unique developmental needs of our middle school students. We also have our Teacher Program that provides practical classroom experience and coursework for those seeking to attain a teaching license or Master's degree. Operational for more than 15 years, Community Montessori is a focus school that serves students in pr-kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in reading, art, music, physical education. The school has a library that stocks books and reverence materials. It also provides various after-school programs and extracurricular activities. The school has a cafeteria that serves a variety of food items and beverages, such as pizzas, mixed vegetables, salads, sandwiches, fruits and juices. Community Montessori is a part of the Boulder Valley School District, which serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The Boulder Valley School District operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Community Montessori is based in Boulder, Colo.
