History

We have long dreamt of owning our own business, one that would allow us an opportunity to give back. Fresh Start is the culmination of that dream. Our lives were changed in 2010 when we sponsored a refugee family that had just moved to the US. For the next year, we visited them weekly to help them acclimate to our culture. Ironically, they taught us more than what we were able to impart to them. We soon discovered that their greatest need was sustainable employment. Refugees who come to our country often receive only two months rent, enough money for a few groceries, and then they are on their own. The challenge for Refugees is to find their way in a world completely different from what they know. We started Fresh Clean in order to be a small answer to this very pressing need. Our dream is to instill working skills in newly settle refugees, to teach them how to make a life in America, and to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit that brought them here.
