Grand Junction Public Works

Public Works and Utilities is one of the departments of the city of Grand Junction in Colorado. It provides community development services and operates various divisions, such as engineering, planning and the Riverside Parkway Division. Its engineering division is responsible for the planning, management and expansion of public infrastructure systems. It is additionally responsible for the construction and maintenance of city streets, drainage systems, and water and sewer projects. Additionally, the engineering division issues storm water construction permits and it adopts measures to provide erosion control and prevention of illegal dumping activities in the city drainage systems. The department also has a streets system division for street pavement maintenance, street sweeping and sidewalk maintenance, and garbage and snow removal. Its operations division is additionally responsible for providing safe drinking water to the community residents.
