Prior to moving to Colorado, I was an emergency room nurse at Charity hospital in New Orleans. During Hurricane Katrina, I suffered the same fears, doubts, and uncertainty as the patients we cared for during the storm. Loss of home, family and employment on top of every day stressors can feel insurmountable.
